Your pool route. On one sheet.
Plan the stops, keep track of the visits and leave room for the work that needs a return. Download a free daily route sheet for paper or a spreadsheet.
Take a clear plan into the day.
The one-page PDF has eight stop rows and a follow-up area. The CSV has the same practical fields for your own spreadsheet. Both downloads are blank and free, with no account or email required.
Keep each stop easy to read.
Write the route date, stop order, customer and service address. Add a planned time only where a customer needs a time window; a route sheet does not calculate travel time or promise an arrival.
Mark the visit completed, skipped or needing a return only after you know its outcome. If the pool could not be accessed, record that outcome and the next action instead of treating the visit as complete.
Fictional example
A small route, with a clear next step.
- 1 · Morgan residence
- Completed · service report to prepare
- 2 · Cedar cottage
- Return needed · customer to arrange access
- 3 · Rivera residence
- Planned · routine visit
Keep the reason and next action specific. A planned stop is not evidence of a performed service.
A useful route sheet has a closing routine.
Check the plan before leaving.
Confirm the day’s stops against your agreed service schedule. Add one-time work deliberately and put the stops in the order you intend to visit them.
Record the visit at the property.
Use a separate service-work checklist or visit record for actual tasks, readings and photos. The route sheet is the day’s overview, not a substitute for those details.
Give unfinished work an owner and date.
A skipped visit, equipment concern or customer question needs a next action. Move proposed paid work into a separate repair estimate before treating it as approved.
Reconcile the day.
Check every stop’s final status, prepare customer updates and transfer return visits to the next plan. Keep the finished sheet with your records.
A few practical answers.
Does this sheet optimize my driving route?
No. You choose the order. PoolTrail also supports recurring schedules, manual daily order and a navigation handoff; it does not calculate an optimized route.
Should I put gate codes on the sheet?
Keep access codes and private instructions in a secure operator record. A printed daily sheet can be lost or shared; it should not double as your access-code list.
Can I import this route CSV into PoolTrail?
This CSV is for a daily spreadsheet. PoolTrail’s customer importer uses a different format: use the customer CSV template, then set schedules inside the app.
What does the app add?
PoolTrail connects recurring stops to customers and saved visit history on your iPhone. Explore without an account. Solo adds online customer reports, repair approvals and backup. See the app workflow.
